A star in the making

Not really a poet myself but found the book very engaging and the more I read the less I wanted to put it down. It spoke to my soul and touched me emotionally in areas I never knew existed. Thank you for this, its truly an amazing piece of work and something to be proud of, and celebrated.

If you have ever been in or fallen out of love you will love this book.

Barbara writes with such feeling and emotional intelligence that her words will remind you just how soaring and heartbreaking being in love can be.

She writes about love, longing and loss with such feeling that its easy to become lost in her words, words which have real emotional resonance. I’ve never felt such an electrical charge from writing before and had a book that gave me goosebumps on so many occasions.

It will move you, make you think about your own experiences with love but above all it will remind you just how wonderful being in love can be.

I first came across Barbara’s work on Instagram where I was taken by her heartfelt and emotional thoughts on love and her ability to explore the complexities of love in an immediate and accessible way. Her first book continues her journey into the beauty of love in all of its forms and if you’ve ever found yourself connecting with a piece of romantic writing I would urge you to read her work. I can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next.

Just perfect like it was written for me

Pretty speechless. This book has got me all twisted. I feel like the book was written for me. Of course I know it wasn't, but every poem seems to relate somehow to me. I could not put it down, and even after I finished reading it, I found myself going back to certain poems and I have to say, it brought tears to my eyes, as I felt like I was in it.
This is an awesome book. A MUST read, well done...

What a book!

This book is so warm and intimate. Strenght and vulnerability meet perfectly and you are immediately pulled into Barbara's world of feelings and experiences. I am sure that I will go back to the book many times. There is so much there that is all worth rediscovering once again. I recommend this book highly!

Truly beautiful and inspiring

4:04am Thoughts is not just a poetry book. It's a captivating journey through the mind and soul. Barbara's words flow so beautifully together and each poem captures authenticity, healing, and hope. Her poetry is inspiring and this book is a truly wonderful read.

This is a really beautiful, very personal collection that is easy to read and relate to, especially on the subjects of self love, relationships, loss and healing.

The structure was well thought through and I really loved the concept of the 4:04am theme which ties in so well with the book and the beliefs instilled within it.

I felt this collection could be picked up from any page and was very resonating.
If you like poetry in short sharp pieces this collection has quite a few of these. Some of them I felt were almost like life quotes.

There are also some nice illustrations throughout which give the book a unique style.

My personal favourites to name a few were:
“Tangling Lights”
“No More Music”
“A Smile”
“The day I said Goodbye,” (very thought provoking and emotional read)
“Missing the World”
“Moon and the Cloud”
“Spring” - particularly loved this one. Although short, it depicted darkness in light.

I would highly recommend this collection to anyone who loves poetry. Well done Barbara!
